A timely little bambino... I woke up on September 29th, his due date, with the sensations that everything was starting. Early labor progressed as I went about my day with sporadic contractions that became more intense and regular - walking Tucker, meeting friends for coffee in the sunshine and going to acupuncture. By the time Goran got home from work around 5pm, I was resting in bed with Tucker preparing for the long night ahead. We played music, labored in the birthing pool, did the 'contraction waltz' throughout our candle-lit house until sunrise. We were fortunate to have wonderful midwives support us in our home birth and Quinn joined us the following day, September 30th, at 12:55pm in our living room. He came into the world wide-eyed and alert, was placed straight onto my chest while staring up at his dad. He latched on within 10 minutes and stayed on my chest as Goran cut the umbilical cord. An intensely surreal and magical experience ...

Our lovely midwife Leslie .. checking over the little big guy at 9lbs 4oz. Though Quinn's gaze never left daddy.
